Compulsory Internship

MARMARA UNIVERSITY VOCATIONAL SCHOOL OF JUSTICE CRIMINAL AND SECURITY SERVICES PROGRAM INFORMATION ON INTERNSHIP APPLICATION

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

Internship is a professional practice for students studying at Marmara University Vocational School of Justice, Penal Execution and Security Services Program, to reinforce their theoretical knowledge and experience gained during their education and to get to know their professional life. Students who are studying at the associate degree level in the Penal Execution and Security Services Program, who are in the second year, will do their compulsory internship for 30 working days in the 4th semester. The dates between which the compulsory internship will take place will be determined by the Vocational School of Justice internship commission and will be decided by the School Administrative Board.

Students of the Penitentiary and Security Services Program can do their internships in Open and Closed Penitentiary Institutions and Probation Offices under the General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses.

PURPOSE OF THE INTERNSHIP

The purpose of the internship is to enable the students who will graduate from the Criminal Execution and Security Services Program to get to know the business areas related to the program they will graduate, and to reinforce their theoretical education with practice. In order for the students to adapt to the workplace environment in a short time, they should get as much information as possible about the work done in the institutions where they do their internship and gain experience related to these jobs.

INTERNSHIP APPLICATION

Students who are studying at the associate degree level in the Penal Execution and Security Services Program, who are in the second year, will do their compulsory internship for 30 working days in the 4th semester. In order to graduate from the Penal Execution and Security Services Program, they must complete the internship application and be successful after the evaluation.

Students will individually submit to the relevant Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, by attaching their student documents, internship form and identity documents to the appendix of the petition containing their request for internship (the sample of the petition is in the forms section).

After the students have determined the internship place, they will obtain an internship file from the college website. Internship Directive, Internship Application Form (Form 1), Workplace Evaluation Form (Form 2), Internship Attendance and Work Schedule (Form 4), Internship Commission Evaluation Form (Form 3), Health Aid Notification Form (Form 5) and there are seven documents in which the internship calendar of that year is announced.

After the students receive the file, they will fill in the internship application form in full.

In order for our students to be insured in accordance with the Social Security Law:

Internship Application Form (Form 1, 3 pieces; each with a photo and to be filled separately.)
Photocopies of Student and Identity Cards (1 piece)
Certificate of Residence and Health Benefit Notification Form (Form 5, 1 piece)

Applications made after the announced date for each year will not be accepted. Whether students' internship applications are accepted or not will be announced after the applications are finalized.

FILE DELIVERY IN INTERNSHIP

 

At the end of the internship, students have to submit their internship files to the administration between the specified dates, provided that the forms are complete. Files will not be accepted after the announced date. The documents that should be included in the file submitted by the students are as follows:

Workplace Evaluation Form (Form 2 will be given in a sealed envelope with the signature of the workplace representative.)
Daily Attendance and Work Schedule (Form 4, the work done for each day will be written one by one by copying from this schedule until the working day.)
Internship Commission Evaluation Form (Form 3, Student's name, surname and number will be written.)

EXCUSE IN INTERNSHIP

Excuse leave and medical reports taken for health or other reasons during the internship are not counted towards the internship day.

Form 2 - WORKPLACE EVALUATION FORM (It will be given in a sealed envelope with the signature of the workplace representative.)
Form 4 - DAILY ATTENDANCE AND WORKING SCHEDULE (The work done for each day will be written one by one by copying this schedule until the working day. Each schedule should be signed and sealed by the authorized person of the institution.)
Form 3 - INTERNSHIP COMMISSION EVALUATION FORM (Student's name, surname and number will be written.)
